Fr. Jakob-Lazarus graduated with a degree in religious studies and philosophy from Stonehill College, a masters degree in theology from Providence College and also attended the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, California. Fr. Jakob is a graduate from the Univeristy of Massachusetts School of Law in 2010 and in 2011 completed an MBA from Bryant University. Since 11 October 2009, Fr. Jakob has been the pastor of the Church of the Holy Paraclete. Fr. Jakob is currently involved in work with the New England Coalition Against Human Trafficking, the Religious Coalition for Marriage Equality, and the Rhode Island State Council of Churches. He has a particular interest in assisting former convicts and those marginalized by poverty.
